New Amazon Merch Policy... You Have 30 Days to Correct Any Designs in Violation

New Amazon Merch Policy

Hey guys, so yesterday June 8, 2018 Amazon posted a new policy update to all of our seller dashboards. This new policy is really more of an existing policy that they are going to be enforcing more strongly moving forward.

Amazon has never wanted us Merch Sellers to be using our titles, tags, and/or descriptions to describe the quality of the shirts, the sizing, or the shipping times, that has always been a policy, but it has been a bit vague in the past.

Amazon has clarified the policy and announced it will be enforced more strictly.

It's funny I just saw someone the other day saying their design they were attempting to upload kept getting rejected, they were saying "This is NOT a maternity shirt". Well Amazon posts the shirts sizing so anyone looking at the listing clearly knows it's not a maternity shirt and in actuality by saying "this is not a maternity shirt" your putting the word "maternity shirt" in your listing and attracting people looking for maternity shirts.

This reminds me of some eBay and/or Craigslist postings where someone will be selling a Ford Focus, and in their title put something like "not toyota camry, not honda accord, not subaru impreza" lol basically trying to attract people looking for those cars.

Anyhow, I digress. Point being, Amazon explains the shipping time, material, etc, etc, etc in the listings so you don't have to, and by doing so you're really just wasting valuable real estate where you could be using relevant keywords to attract buyers to your listings.

Another reason AMazon does not want you telling people to order a size up is because back when they were using Anvil shirts and they ran a bit small everyone put "order a size up" in their listings. Then Amazon switched from Anvil to Port & Company which run large andnow all those listings if they aren't revised are telling people to order a size up on a shirt that already runs a bit large. Amazon can change shirt suppliers and manufacturers at any point and by you describing the shirts, as soon as they make a change now your shirts are innacurately described.

In this video we talk about this policy change and we also show you how to go in and check if you have any shirts violating the policy and how to correct it

Great video, amazon new policy is awesome. Thanks @rulesforrebels

I believe that the seller should always give details of what sells so that it is more correct and more honest, regards, @rulesforrebels.
