My American Girl Miley
This video was created in collaboration with my friend Wade Bradshaw. For context this piece grew out of a song by the same name by "the Newman Brothers", the song was created to sarcastically celebrate the legal deflowering of a teen idol. Pointing to Disney's regular sexualization of the stars of it's "mickey mouse club", this video try's to capture the absurdity of characters like Miley Cyrus, and how they are constructed so deliberately.
