The Painter’s Palette

We are like the painter’s palette
A mixture of raw colour
Splashed against a canvas
Perfected by dancing brush strokes

We are like the painter’s palette
Sometimes dripping in such ardour
Sometimes scumbling in pure hate
Perfected by dancing brush stokes

We are like the painter’s palette
Identified by different colour
Defined by the heart’s manner
Perfected by dancing brush strokes

We are much like the painter’s palette
God is the painter
His style we still cannot fathom
Yet finesse in His brushstrokes
The world is still the most perfect portrait

This poem is my view of God and how he made the world. We are a work of art; just like paint used for artwork by artists. Just as different unique colours perfectly combined produce breathtaking art, so does the different nature and character of people from all over the world make the world as lovely as it is. The world is perfectly imperfect. There is evil, there is good. We are perfected by brush stokes, doing what is right; following God’s word.
