这是整个罗马广场最大的单一建筑，现在只有不到一半仍然存在，也成了是废墟遗址。人类的荣耀经过千百年时间的流逝，兴衰起落，曾经宏伟的帝国大厅现在只是一片废墟。它的规模尚且非常惊人，很难相信两千年前的人们只能用石头能建成如此庞大的建筑。

与其他建筑相比，除了巨大之​​外，这里没有柱子，没有雕刻杰作，这里没有什么可看的，只有一大片绿色的草地，标识着建筑物其他部分曾经存在的位置。

My original Sketch: Basilica of Maxentius, Roman Forum, Rome

This was the largest single building in the whole of the Roman Forum, now only lesser than half of it remains as ruins. The glory of men wax and wane thru the passage of time, the once magnificent basilica of the empire is now but a ruin. The size of it is astonishing, it is hard to believe that men can build this with nothing but stones two thousand years ago.

Compare to other building, there isn't much to see here except for the size, no columns, and no sculptural masterpiece, there is but a large piece of green grassland identifying where the rest of the building once stood.
