Why Your Art is in your HeART.

Wordplay is interesting when you look underneath the surface, anyone who has looked into etymology in any depth will know that words are spells, thats why we have spellings. Other words give us clues about ourselves and the World around us. Heart is also an anagram of 'Earth'. To me, this paints a picture of what human beings are at their essence, and that is CREATIVE beings.

The issue is that so many of us have it beaten out of us as soon as we are old enough to walk. Our creativity has been hijacked on so many levels starting with when we go to school where its all about keeping us in the left side of the brain, which is all about structure, logic, and hierarchy. We are taught to obey and never to question authority, we are told there is only one way to living life which is to get good grades, go to University, and find a good 9-5 job.

Lip service is given to creative subjects such as art, music, and drama, with less and less funding as the years go by. Two hours a week or so in a full week where everything else is set up to keep us in a monotonous cycle of structure and boredom. Then what happens you leave school rarely having explored your full creative potential thrust into the rat race where you have no time to write, paint, learn music, or write poetry. The very actions that make our HEARTS sing.

I know that is what happened to me, I resent the system for stealing my creativity when I was younger, and its only now that I am making up for lost time. Because that is who I am, I am art and so are you. What you do with your life is art in and of itself, yet our canvasses are all pained the same shade of grey. The system wants you to buy into the same creation that they have designed, and that could quite possibly be the biggest crime on humanity.

I encourage all who are reading this, if you havent started find your art, and you will reconnect to your heart. We are not office workers. In our essence, we are the writers, poets, comedians, storytellers, musicians. Spend time finding what it is you can create because if you don't a part of you will remain missing in this World, and you were DESIGNED to be unique and bring your version of artistry and creativity to the Planet. Without you expressing yourself in such a way, the whole World loses out, you actually have a moral responsibility to your own soul to explore this aspect and then express, even if it is just to yourself.

They fear our creativity, everything starts in the mind, and could it be that if we all start to engage our imaginations we might actually all come to the realisation that we don't want to create this grey, boring canvass. The evolution in consciousness doesn't have to always be a struggle, we can step away from their control mechanisms using our most powerful ability which is our very creativity.
