I had this though for a new drawing and wanted to do it for some days , the idea was to deal in the drawing whit liberty , the approach i was to use would be a risky one, but it is in this way i like to express, for it creates room for randomness to happen, there is little control over the final work, and what prevails in the end is the will to keep on doing it.
So after a couple of days whit this idea in my mind i finally began tho put it in paper, the first stage consist off some words that appear to express the idea off recognizing what elements in our society are supposed to protect the people but for the vast majority work to oppress it, so to express this what had come to my mind, was this words that have been repeated trough out the years by many mouths and have bean heard by many more and still there is the need to keep on repeating them, this are words like ... FUCK THEM ALL... these are some off the basic words of liberty...

So trough the process of drawing this first stage some questions started to appear and were somehow incorporated in it , questions like : is the rebellion lost? ... or, are we the people lost in this rhetoric? , are we going in wiling for the trap?!
There was in the process for me the recognition that the effect i was searching and had idealized, was a bit out there in the distorted frame off mind off a dialectic world view.
This is interesting, i though and is a fair base for the incorporation of the second stage, so the idea was still alive the second stage was to be drawn on top of this elements drawn in this sheet off paper, as the initial idea was to draw a figure of liberty on top off this elements, i began searching for references to elaborate this second stage, the first thing was the obvious search the web for images, it surprised me that there are not many different representations off liberty, there was an ancient Roman goddess (Libertas) associated whit the idea off liberty represented in a coin that i thought was interesting but as it was associated whit a "imperial cult" it was not to be used, but this gave me the confirmation that the idea off the work of Delacroix "Liberty Leading the People" was a good reference to continue the work, so after some time evaluating both compositions a general arrangement and framing was set clearly in my mind, after a couple of days pondering it, i finally gave it a chance and this was the preliminary result...

So as i look at this stage i thought this is not done yet, something is missing, so looking at the reference i detect that there is a flag missing, i don't want to put a french flag in there, i think for a moment an then restart drawing, the flag outline is completed, it seems to fit the purpose, but something is still missing, i then grab the red pen an think its missing red in this side off the composition so i decide to go for some words in red , the first word that come to mind is freedom, so i start to draw the word first the F then the E and then, Fuck ! i stop immediately, and think i ruined it, how could i miss the R , where was my mind, i was drawing with fear of making a mistake so how can i proceed i think , fear yes that's it FEAR is the word to draw, so i complete the word fear and doing so i realize again that FEAR RULES the liberty we have, as we tend to hide our own thoughts whit fear of what the others will think, as we tend to only say what is socially acceptable, what is politically correct, as we the people tend to seat on the shadow off liberty and accept all the crap that comes from the upper levels of the pyramid, where fear rules there is no liberty , so now it makes sense, this need to draw this picture was not so clear in the beginning, but now, this all makes sense to me, even the idea i had in the early stages off drawing the figure off liberty not whit traces but with the repetition of the word liberty was adapted and the flag is full off liberty, but its just a simple flag ... and so the ideals of the revolution may still be screamed in the streets all over this world ...
