Hi Friends! Have you ever combined your creative passions together...and then combined them with the creative passions of your partner and created an explosion of amazingness?

I feel like that’s what happened recently when my husband and I joined forces to make a line of artisan timber pieces for sale.

My husband, as well as being a highschool teacher and musician, is a builder and timber craftsman. He loves to create furniture, frames, serving boards, anything he dreams up from reclaimed timbers.

Last year we sourced some timber that was being thrown out from a demolition site and hubby made some bespoke footstools that I painted with Henna-Style patterns. And then photographed!

The end products were five unique, artisan stools that we could sell. After making them we flew straight into my festival season and lost momentum on the sales front, but that just meant we could hang on to them a bit longer...or maybe even just keep them for ourselves or friends.

Either way, there was something magical about combining our artistic passions to create something beautiful together. Something that is uniquely us.

Peace out!
Jessi

Such a good way to mix your two skills! You could definitely sell those at markets etc if you ever wanted to share your work with others too :)

Beautiful. How do they hold up under the travails of a household full of boys?

Thankyou! Havnt decided yet if they’ll be for everyday use or not but they have been varnished so should be very hardy!
