(CO)Artisteem Contest: lines in Moscow

【莫斯科的線條 / lines in Moscow】

This is my entry to the contest “Curate your artist friend's work” from Artisteem.

Chien Chung-Wei is my classmate at the university.
When everyone was figuring out one's future direction, he shows his love to watercolor obviously.

He has been cultivating talented students all over the world, including Chins, Europe, the United States and so on.
This piece is one of his demonstration works on his class.

I like the color he used which is very mature.
He paints the skilled rendering techniques to express the hierachical space.
The reflection on the ground express the moisture in the air very well.

The interlaced wire in the air looks complex but make a perfect composition.
The protagonist of the picture shifts from the characteristic dome castle to the elements representing the people's livelihood, and immediately makes the picture become closer to the real life of the people of Moscow.

這篇文章是參加Artisteem的活動，這次的主題是介紹你的畫家朋友的作品。我畢業於應用美術系，之後更在電腦動畫上持續進修，所以我有很多傑出的同學，這次我選擇了一位已經小有成就的水彩畫家。

簡忠威是我的大學同學，在求學期間，當大家都還在摸索找尋自己未來的方向時，他就很明確的表現出對水彩畫的情有獨鍾。

他多年來作育英才，世界各地水彩相關的機構紛紛請他去授課，包含中國大陸、歐洲、美國等。
這件作品，就是他的示範作品。

他的用色十分成熟，運用熟練的渲染技法，把空間感表現得很有層次，地面上的反射更是把空氣中的濕氣表達得非常到位。

空中交錯的電線是畫龍點睛之筆，夢幻的莫斯科美景，瀟灑畫上這些看似複雜卻形成完美構圖的線條，畫面的主角從具有特色的圓頂城堡轉移到代表民生的元素，立刻讓這幅畫變得更能貼近莫斯科人民的真實生活。
