🎨 I saw someone ask another artist - why is art worth paying for?

Here's my answer -

For centuries the most well crafted and beautiful objects have been coveted and desired, even fought & killed over. Because they made people FEEL something, just like music, or watching a well acted play. But, an art object is usually not over in minutes or hours. It can last a lifetime, or even longer. And those feelings can be experienced over and over. That's why art is worth paying for.
