So I had never posted the final pic of this new piece I called “Inderdimentional Rebel”.

in #artzone6 years ago

It is not a painting, it’s a photoshop collage made with pieces of previously done paintings. So a bit of a cheaters piece, that only took me an afternoon to compose, but still a pretty rad parallel dimension entity, if I can say so myself!

Have you thought about getting into VJing your work for musicians? I feel like the art you make would be perfect for it

For musicians, it would make like an awesome pink floyd album cover...

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

I would make better haiku, if I were a bot like you.

That too! :)

Haiku bot is always up to no good haha

these creations would look very cool animated, but that is a lot of work for a whole team usually...

Check out Steve Haman, or Kooz videos for Boogie T, Android Jones w/ Tipper is at the top imo. Android Jones does a more sophisticated set compared to others

You can input your images into a program and automate them to whatever you choose, depending how the art is made

Yeah
I guess you can just have transitions/fades in between different images of the artwork with some default effects and such and such projected at a rave or concert...

But to full-on animate these type of characters you need to either make them into 3d models (and that might kill some of the organic feel to it and the details), another solution would be to do old-school "frame-by-frame" and that takes time and crew.

But I am sure there is a lot of useful software I don't know about now days.
Adobe animate CC and the Toon boom software looks pretty neat...

Not a bad idea, I would enjoy the show...

Please watch a good portion of this. I think you're underestimating what one person can do as a VJ with their own original artwork. I said automate not animate

Great @masscollective what software is that?
Looks like it multiplies and creates patterns that move and trace around using smaller graphical elements/"original-art-work" (like that fan) and then it also adds a reflective/kaleidoscope effect and some other effects... Cool...
But automation, for sure.

Wow! What intricate art. Are those your original drawings? I checked out your website and you've got some pretty fab creations. What are you doing to print your artwork on to those items? Thanks for sharing!

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ

this is amazing, @chrisdyer ! i love it ! what wonderful colours ! what wonderful patterns ! beautifully inked and detailed too <3 <3 <3

AMAZING !!!

congrats on curie, too <3

There's a lot of complex happenings in one image. Really interdimensional and spiritual themes in every section. How long did it take you to finish this piece?

dude, you have a lot of wild symbolism going on in there with amazing symmetry. I see all kinds of crazy stuff.
