Mads Mikkelsen - drawing - Actor of the Day
The first time I noticed him in "Casino Royale (2006)" as Le Chiffre
And I thought: "Wow, what a repelling guy! What's up with his eye?"
Next movie I saw him in was "Valhalla Rising (2009)"
And I thought: "Wow, I know this guy, from this Bond movie! What's up with his eye?"
I wanted him to perform the Witcher, so much.
Witcher has strange eyes too.
Mads was perfect to the role.
But Hollywood thinks different.
Stupid Hollywood....
Anyway he was fun to draw.
Pencilling finished with photoshopping.

Another seriously good drawing. I can't place him and need to look him up, but find it impressive in how you get from a few lines to that and it becomes real as you build the layers.
Thanks, that technique involves a lot of rubbing and smudging!
You know this term called "pareidolia"? I bet you played some times the game "What shape is this cloud?" , or you noticed faces or silhouettes in random places like coffee stains or smoked fireplace glass?
I'm only finding the lines that works and removing or blurring those that doesn't fit. The more I do it, the better I get, I guess :)
Thanks I am learning all the time through these techniques. I don't draw much myself ,but interested to learn how you guys do it. This makes perfect sense looking for a smudge or something that could resemble something that gives you a base to go to the next stage. I am sure the more you do it the better your eye becomes at spotting this.
