I usually don't publish WIP, but here is a small canvas I started a couple of days ago:
charcoal and charcoal wash, 30 x 40 cm on canvas (I usually do these on panel, but lets see how it works out on canvas).
Whether something comes of it, or it joins the other pile of half-baked ideas stacked in my studio and elsewhere remains to be seen. It was entirely spontaneous, dragging a charcoal stick over the canvas, spraying with water, pushing the wet charcoal around with fingers and palm of the hand (rubber gloves), then drawing into it with a charcoal stick and also with a brush into the still wet charcoal. Took maybe 20 minutes or so.
I don't want to say "stay tuned", because I don't know if I pick it up again (soon, or if ever).

Normalerweise veröffentliche ich WIP nicht, aber hier ist eine kleine Leinwand, die ich vor ein paar Tagen begonnen habe:
Kohle und Kohle gewaschen, 30 x 40 cm auf Leinwand (ich mache diese normalerweise auf der Platte, aber mal sehen, wie es auf der Leinwand funktioniert).
Ob etwas daraus wird, oder ob es mit dem anderen Stapel halbgebackener Ideen gelagert wird die in meinem Studio und anderswo sind, bleibt abzuwarten. Es war völlig spontan, einen Kohlestift über die Leinwand ziehen, mit Wasser besprühend, die feuchte Kohle mit den Fingern und der Handfläche (Gummihandschuhe) herumschieben, dann mit einem Kohlestift und auch mit einem Pinsel die nasse Kohle weiter bearbeiten. Dauerte vielleicht 20 Minuten oder so.
Ich möchte nicht "stay tuned" sagen, weil ich nicht weiß, ob ich es wieder aufnehme (bald, oder wenn überhaupt).
