(Duna, Frank Herbert)

A contraluz

cuando queda la verdad;

Backlit

The magic of the earth tastes
the fallacious mystery of true words.
To the rumor that the leaves flow
with the lights, rest in silence
under the bare trees
turn off the voice and whisper.

With ephemeral flowers he speaks,
with resins, with leaves
with petals full of aromas,
of pollen and desires.
With poetic lights he speaks softly
to the ear of the wind,
to the ear of the one who stops to look at them.

The lights invent their lyrical miracle,
what ignites the word
when the truth remains,
what we're here to say, if we say it,
if this dream reaches us.

The undefeated darkness that seeps in
against light
in the fog, out of time,
has the tremor of a corolla
in front of the abyss.

The earth knows, because it is old, because it is magical,
to be illuminated,
than that which is not incarnate,
in bloom of poetry,
always ends in leaf litter,
at the mercy of the wind.
