Why should we take care of Nature?
Nature is not simply a warehouse of resources to serve human needs. Rather, it is a highly integrated, interdependent functioning system upon which all life forms, including the soil, water, plants, animals and humans depend for survival.
We depend on nature for our survival. Our food, medicine, water, clean air and everything we have comes from nature and if we must survive for posterity then we must protect that which feeds, heals and gives us life; we must protect nature.
What can we do to take care of Nature?
- Conserve your local environment
- Organize or participate in clean-up campaigns
- Plant native or indigenous tree and flower species
- Reduce the amount of waste you create and your carbon footprint
- Homestead
- Educate others about nature protection
- Support nature protection organizations
- Buy organic and locally grown foods
- Stop using insecticides, pesticides and fungicides
