Is Assange Being Tortured with Psychotropic Drugs in Belmarsh Prison?

in #assange5 years ago (edited)

The witch hunt on Julian Assange and WikiLeaks by the "authorities" in the American government demonstrate a failure (or lie) of Trump's promise to Make America Great Again. Trump has opened the door again to psychopaths who devour freedom to feed their empire of chaos.

The neocons have influenced policy for so long. They drove the US to violate domestic and international laws with their post-9/11 war on Americans and in the Middle East. And now they are being brought back to the table in Trumps administration and even the private sector, like Facebook who hired a co-author of the Patriot Act.

Julian Assange has helped to expose the crimes of these psychopaths, and they want his head. They are on their way to getting it too. The deep state powerhouse fronted by the DOJ in the Eastern District Court of Virginia is making it happen. Chelsea Manning is back in their clutches after having escaped a 35 year prison term for the infamous leaks in 2010. And now Assange is on his way to replace Manning after the limits of the secret grand jury's power terminate.

Karen Kwiatkowski, a a retired USAF lieutenant colonel, farmer and aspiring anarcho-capitalist who ran for Congress in Virginia's 6th district in 2012, is claiming that Assange is undergoing "interviews" and "treatment" while in captivity at Belmarsh maximum security prison. The "treatment" is the same as suspected terrorists while in captivity of the British there.

Kwiatkowski says the DoD, FBI and the CIA have agents sent to Belmarsh prison to "interview" Assange, prior to his extradition to the U.S. She says Assange is being "treated" with 3-quinuclidinyl benzilate, known as BZ. The New Yorker wrote about BZ tested on soldiers:

“Exposed soldiers exhibited bizarre symptoms: rapid mumbling, or picking obsessively at bedclothes and other objects, real or imaginary. “…The drug’s effect lasted for days. At its peak, volunteers were totally cut off in their own minds, jolting from one fragmented existence to the next. They saw visions: Lilliputian baseball players competing on a tabletop diamond; animals or people or objects that materialized and vanished. ….

Soldiers on BZ could remember only fragments of the experience afterward. As the drug wore off, and the subjects had trouble discerning what was real, many experienced anxiety, aggression, even terror. Ketchum [Dr. James Ketchum, DoD Edgewood Arsenal, MD] built padded cells to prevent injuries, but at times the subjects couldn’t be contained. One escaped, running from imagined murderers. Another, on a drug similar to BZ, saw “bugs, worms, one snake, a monkey and numerous rats,” and thought his skin was covered in blood. “Subject broke a wooden chair and smashed a hole in the wall after tearing down a 4-by-7-ft panel of padding,” his chart noted. Ketchum and three assistants piled on top of the soldier to subdue him. “He was clearly terrified and convinced we were intending to kill him,” his chart said.

One night, Ketchum rushed into a padded room to reassure a young African-American volunteer wrestling with the ebbing effects of BZ. The soldier, agitated, found the air-conditioner gravely threatening. After calming him down, Ketchum sat beside him. Attempting to see if he could hold a conversation, Ketchum asked, “Why do they have taxes, income taxes, things like that?”

The soldier thought for a minute. “You see, that would be difficult for me to answer, because I don’t like rice,” he said.”

Rather than seeking any truth, this is more likely an attempt by those who want retaliation for Assange revealing the corruption of their dirty deeds, both in foreign nations and in America itself. They want Assange psychologically and physically ransacked.

Isolation and the brutality of prison is one thing. And BZ is an effective way to essentially chemically lobotomize Assange prior to being extradited to the U.S. for a sham show trial to make an example of anyone who dares attempt to reveal the dark side of the American Empire to such a degree as he has.

Kwiatkowski writes that her sources in the UK say:

“[Julian Assange] is presently under close observation in prison hospital because he has suffered ‘severe transient psychotic episodes.’ My source(s) indicate these episodes occurred after two sessions of coercive interrogation at the hands of UK and US officials. The source(s) stated the HUMINT interrogators used psychotropic drugs in the course of the sessions.”

A previous example of another seen as a "traitor" in the eyes of authoritarians is David Shayler, who exposed the UK's support of terrorists in Libya. After spending 3 years in Belmarsh, he emerged from prison a broken and delusional man, as Kwiatkowski puts it, where he believed himself to be the second coming of Jesus Christ.

If this infromation is correct, Assange is being destroyed to make him more less functional as a human being, and less able to defend himself. Hearing Pamela Anderson speak of her visit with Assange, this information may unfortunately be true. When Assange eventually emerges from prison in the UK or later in the U.S., will he be the same man?

Thank you for your time and attention. Peace.

I read about this a few days ago, and it seems the sort of torture tactics that we all feared Assange would face if he was in the custody of UK/US officials. I have to agree with @valued-customer's comments on this - Julian's treatment is a sneak preview of what others in similar situations will face when speaking truth to the powerful.

Yup, it's the new bar for normalcy for anyone who threatens the sanctity of the state's image as a force of "good".

All free people need to recognize that but for the grace of their personal arms and persistent insistence on their freedom, as goes Assange so go they. The crimes committed against him are equally threatened to be done to them, their children, mothers and fathers. These are crimes against humanity, as torture always is.

Despicable vermin deserving of hanging are the only people that could commit such crimes. The worse they do to Assange, the worse the evidence piled against them in the trials that will eventually be conducted to sanction those crimes. Any that support torture, that willingly endorse it, or knowingly fund those committing it, do so at peril of assuming that same moral hazard afflicting the verminous war criminals torturing victims of such tyranny.

Justice is the verdict of free and sovereign people when the fall of tyrants and profiteers comes. Toadies should keep that in mind.

Thanks!

Yes, the capacity to think clearly and objectively with regards to moral behavior and cuplability is highly degraded in society.

Rage and desire for revenge on the part of a state thirsting for power (More power than they already have.) and sadistic tendencies... Sadly this cannot end well.

Edit: What certain people did with this post is CENSORSHIP!, truly shameful.

The state seeks to protect, preserve and project i's power :/

Censorship, on a censorship proof platform. It's called being Downvoted. It's not suppressing him or the article, it's certainly not censorship.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. This "Downvote" button was formerly called "Flag" and was used (Or should be used) to "report" those posts that violated a rule of the community... This post does not violate any.

To use as an argument that it is a button of "Downvote" and therefore it is a simple "Dislike", it is very weak and simply what it does is to affirm what many of us had said would happen after this change: Steemit would become a place where "I don't like this, Dislike" would prevail which would lead to censorship, toxicity and abuse.

This is censorship for the simple fact that it has been an "attack" of whales against a post for the simple fact of having a narrative different from the one they defend, in other words, this was clearly encouraged by political differences.

As a consequence, they have removed a value from the post big enough to be relevant or at least to enter into trends, they have made the platform hide the images and the content of the post. And they have practically removed the monetization of it.

Greetings and peace!

There are no community rules.

If you don't understand what censorship and curation is then I'm not interested in talking with you. You know what a thumbs down or a zero star review is? Not censorship.

"attack" in air quotes, that's censorship. So whack. Curation is not censorship. You don't know WHY they curated it as they did, but that doesn't stop you from inventing the intent. So whack.

Seems that the remark about "censorship proof" went right over your head btw. You do realize that this platform, this place, it was explicitly created so it's practically impossible to be censored and to this day, not one person has been censored, not one bit of data was altered or suppressed, not one individual was prevented from posting or responding to whatever and wherever and however they wanted.

Finally, my argument is not what the button is called, as before it was called a flag it was simply called a downvote and when it was changed the first time a list was added with reasons why people might flag/downvote, (read Might, not Should) and among the reasons there is (I assume it hasn't changed) disagreement on rewards, which is the main reason why flagging ever existed, as a mechanism for dissuading self voting, which is exactly what everyone would do if there was no flagging. Ultimately, you don't see that flagging, downvoting, thumbs down, negative curation, is Freedom of Expression at it's best. No, it doesn't need to be justified or explained any more than positive curation needs an explanation or justification, in case you want to argue some nonsense like that.

Until he's completely free (or at least as free as the rest of us) I consider the government illegitimate and null. We'll get to the bottom of this eventually, and those responsible will pay.

Often times, they don't pay...

My hope is that eventually we'll get to the bottom of everything. Like, full information disclosure, somewhere around the singularity (2040ish). That's kinda far-fetched though, and we want change now, I know. I feel that all information will become available to all, and perhaps we're be using AI or have superpowered our brains somehow, so we'll be able to handle that much info at once. We'll find out who shot JFK, we'll know where Jimmy Hoffa went, and so on. Even the little mysteries will be possible to solve. There will be a wave of change, justice, reparations, apologies, and the like, which will rock society. I think we'll eventually get to the bottom of pretty much everything. Every sin will be revealed and we'll all have to judge ourselves and each other in a new light. Anyhow, like I said, that's only one possible future. But if something like that happens, whoever is fucking with Asssange right now will be sorted out. I dunno, this is pretty philosophical and out there, thanks for listening.

Hear say from unknown sources is just that: hearsay. I don't believe a word of it, Assange, unlike terrorist, has attorneys at his disposal that would be sounding alarms if this was happening to him.

I tend to agree ;) It was an interesting story being put out though hehe.

I do not like any of the answers this line of query brings up.

We have two sides that would both gain from lying.
So, who do we trust? We know we can't trust the federallies.
But that doesn't mean we can trust the other side.

My money is on:
Assange was killed and replaced.

However, if he is still alive, he is definitely being tortured.
But, to what extent?
Living in a confined cell as a free man or
living in a confined cell as a prisoner, both are torture.

Especially in comparison to the list of crimes they have placed on him.

If any of this was true, by the book, then
Assange would be given a slap on the wrist and 3 months jail.

But, it is not.
So, what do you do if you are the next assange?

Yes, he's been living in confinement for a very long time, and has more hardship ahead of him :/
