NEW Theme! Abandoned Shit Weekly Contest - №.16 - 'Creepy!' #aswcontest
I have discovered yet another cemetery i think this is about the fourth one i have seen on my walks around the city of Bangkok and they are all located within prime business areas of Bangkok.
I would have to say this one is about the creepiest one i have come across in Bangkok it's got to be well over 100 years old with most of the cemetery submerged in swampy waters.
I am sure this cemetery goes further back then World War 2 , it is totally abandoned it is totally over grown with trees , grass and swamp weeds the day i discovered this cemetery it had been raining really heavy in Bangkok for a couple of days and night so it made it more creepy it was flooded in most areas of the cemetery , walking through i didn't know if i was going to fall into one of these broken up tombs and be lost forever.
The thing that amazes me is that these four cemeteries that i have come across are all totally abandon and creepy and are situated in the most expensive real estate of Bangkok the land is worth millions of dollars.
Yet the Thai people will not build over the cemetery land as they believe it will be a curse and bad luck to them for life and Thai people knowing that something has been built on cemetery land would never buy a apartment there or rent a office there what ever might be the case.
So the cemetery is left alone to deteriorate further and the bodies sink further into the muddy swampy land so it can look more creepy for tourist at least the stray dogs are making use of the area and keeping all the spirits protected of a night.
