Today I bring to a place where you can enjoy the natural environment while exercising in this area. This place is known as Relau Metropolitan Recreational Park. It is a public recreational park in Relau area. The residents of Relau citizen mainly use this park for relaxing and spend time with their family members.

This was an old abandoned mansion and has been renovated into a recreational building.

The recreational park initiative is to promote cleaner, healthier, and a safer Penang. The park is managed by City Council of Penang Island. The whole park can accommodate about 400 people at any time. For sport and recreational organizer, you may book the public park for events such as sports activity, aerobics, dancing, Tai Chi, and Qigong through their official website. There is a meeting room for booking as well. Click here for booking.

It was opened in the year 2003 and they had been well maintained and clean too. It is also the second largest recreational park in Penang Island. The facilities are not limited to jungle trekking, mountain, biking, hiking, outdoor games, and jogging. The park has a children’s playground as well. It has an outdoor exercise equipment where everyone can use at any time. As per checking, the admission is still free.

According to TheStar Online newspaper, some of the community provide special recreational session, which is free for the public to join.

This is a great place to learn some of the fruits trees, spices, hardwoods, and herbs since most of the plant here have their own name tag.If you love natural environment, you definitely need to visit this place.

That's a beautiful place. Is it packed? Or is it empty most of the time?
It's not that pack during the normal day. It's crowded during the sport events.
Really? I guess people really don't know how to enjoy themselves anymore. I would spend a couple of hours there every day for sure.
Most busy to make a living and they prefer an air cond room instead of the park. 😆
That's just even more reason to spend more time at the park. A balanced mind is a mandatory requirement to propel income. Not to mention the health hazards of being exposed to air conditioners for long periods.
Besides, one can always be productive while relaxing at the park. I.e. exercising languages on the duolingo app, reading a book or an ebook about something that could boost their career, or even just keep up with the latest local news to chat and gossip at work, which is great to prevent stress between coworkers.
That's the main reason the park was build in the first place. It's for everyone to find the work-life balance. I guess most never thought of that and spend at the park.
That's a shame. :(

This place can be huge. I didn't explore it that much into jungle tracking. I heard there is a swimming pool too but I didn't find it. Maybe I walk into the wrong path.
