Tivoli Andiamo - a portable speaker with Italian style
Tivoli has announced their portable Andiamo Audio System. The American company is making it available to us Brits starting this month, just in time for picnics and BBQs (if the weather holds out).
The Andiamo is the first model from Tivoli Go. This new collection of portable Bluetooth-enabled audio systems is designed for easy access to music when on the move. Quite apt given that Andiamo translates to "here we go", according to my rough grasp of Italian.

The Andiamo is luxuriously wrapped in a premium Italian leather strap and carry handle. The beautifully compact speaker uses high-speed Bluetooth 3.0 in order to transform your digital audio into fabulous full-range music.
Power
Look beyond its stylish aluminium cabinet and perforated speaker grille and you will discover a custom 2.5-inch full-range driver and coaxially aligned 3-inch passive radiator. These are driven by an ultra-efficient 20W amplifier, which is governed by advanced 24bit DSP EQ. Tivoli reckons that this is enough to generate detailed audio dynamics on a scale that belies the speaker’s bijou dimensions. Those dimensions are just 135mm diameter x 55mm high and 0.72 kg.
Control
Firstly, a re-chargeable lithium battery designed to exploit Bluetooth 3.0’s enhanced power control provides up to 20 hours of play time. There’s also a 3.5mm mini-jack for analogue sources. Finally, to complete the minimalist styling, and for enhanced tactility, push-controls for power, volume and Bluetooth pairing are embossed on the leather strap and activate sensors beneath.

The Tivoli Andiamo is available this month with a typical retail price of £189.00.
