Average global temperature of 2018 is lower than last three years: NASA

Since global temperature is being recorded since 2018, the global surface temperature of Earth is the fourth warmest temperature. It has been found in the analysis of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It found that the temperature in the previous year was more than the annual average. According to NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS), the global temperature was 0.83 degree Celsius above the average temperature of 1951 to 1980 in 2018.

NASA said in a statement that the 2018 temperature in the global scenario was lower than 2016, 2017 and 2015. For the past five years, collectively, the most hot year according to the modern record. NOAA assessment found that in 2018, the temperature of the Earth was 0.79 degree Celsius above the average of 20th century. GISS director Gavin Skimmed said, despite all the worries over the long-running global temperature, it is a fact that 2018 was once again a very hot year.

According to Skimd, since 1880, the average surface temperature of the Earth has increased to about one degree Celsius. They said that this warming has happened due to increased emissions in the environment of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases due to human activity. Due to this increasing heat value, the vast glacier of the ice is melting in Greenland and Antarctic as well as it also expands the risk of fire-related weather and some unfavorable weather events.

NASA said that the rising temperature in the Arctic region is the highest, where sea ice melts continuously in 2018. NASA analyzed the surface temperature measurement of 6300 weather centers, estimation of ship and pluvan based sea surface temperature and temperature measurement of Antarctic research centers in its analysis.
