Later, Bangabandhu-1 satellite was successfully launched on Saturday. 'Falcon-9' rocket will reach the space in the next 10 days. After 20 days the satellite will start working. It will be controlled from Gazipur of Bangladesh. For this, Ground Control Station has been built at Joydebpur in Gazipur.

Bangladesh is a partner in the space-state of Bangladesh with the successful launch of Bangabandhu-1 satellite weighing 3 percent 70 tonnes, created by the Space Agency's Thales Alenya Space. Bangladesh's debut as the 57th country of its own satellites.

Analysts say that after the Bangabandhu-1 satellite has been operated in orbit, there will be a revolutionary change in broadcast communication in Bangladesh. It will play an important role in expanding the internet service in remote areas.

The location of the Bangabandhu-1 satellite in space will be 119.1 degree East longitude. Orbit has been rented for 15 years from Russia because it does not have its own orbit. Apart from this orbit, all of SAARC countries and some parts of Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will be covered under this satellite.

The main infrastructure of the Bangabandhu-1 satellite has been created by France's Space Agency Thales Alenna Space. After the construction of the satellite, it was sent to Florida in the United States to launch it on March 30. There is a space exploration company SpaceX's Falcon-9 rocket in the space of the satellite.

Although the work of making and removing satellites is done abroad, it will be controlled from Bangladesh. For this, Ground Control Station (Ground Control System) created in Joydebpur of Gazipur will serve as the main center for satellite control. Rangamati Betbunia Ground Station will be used as an alternative.
