Iniesta announces his departure from Barcelona with tears
Barcelona captain Andrés Iniesta announced his departure from the Catalan club after the end of the season at a press conference and saw a large media presence.
"I have made my decision after a long thought. After 22 years I think it is time, Barcelona is the best team in the world and I think that my time here is over and I can not provide the requirements to stay there," Iniesta said with tears in his eyes.
"It's always a sad day for me. It's hard to say good-bye to the team I grew up in, and I want to avoid any troublesome situation with the club so I decided to leave."
"I would like to thank the club and the Academy of La Massia, because all that I have reached today as a player and as a person was thanks to them, and I also thank all my colleagues who made me the best in every season."
