The World Bank has agreed to provide necessary assistance to Rohingya refugees who have been sheltered in Bangladesh due to ethnic violence in Myanmar. The Yan News report says the company will provide this assistance to 10 lakh Rohingya refugees.
Mahmuda Begum, Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, told the Daily Star that the World Bank meeting in the United States in April approved the funding for the maintenance of Rohingyas. But the government and the World Bank did not mention the amount of money.

The World Bank's delegation is going to visit Bangladesh to discuss the issue with Bangladesh government.
Earlier, in October of 2017, Bangladesh urged the World Bank to support Rohingya. In view of this, Bangladesh rejected the request of the World Bank to provide loans to Bangladesh at a lower interest rate. Finance Minister Abdul Male Abul Muhit told the World Bank that a grant of $ 400 to 500 million dollars is needed. But the World Bank then rejected this request and said it is not possible to donate so much money.

Finally, in April, the World Bank agreed to donate under the terms. The organization says that funds will be provided only for the Rohingya expenditure.World-Bank-to-give-Bangladesh-grant-to-meet-basic-needs-of-1-million-Rohingya-refugees-1024x565.jpg
