There is beauty in everything

There is beauty in everything

This post will fit for two challenges namely
Beautiful Sunday By @ace108,

and
Sublime Sunday, created by @c0ff33a,

I think we all have the tendency to see something as special and perfect when it conforms to the normal stereotypes, for example when one thinks of beautiful flowers our minds tend to think of Roses and other flowers you can buy in florists and such, but there is beauty in everything including what many consider weeds such as these Dandelions I will share with this post

And as these were found on a beautiful day when out for a walk, and some may consider photos of a weed as beautiful may be a bit sublime so I think these images will fit both tags

Now many consider the Dandelion as an annoying weed that no matter what you do just keep reappearing and spoiling your perfectly maintained lawn, I myself find them such a beautiful little flower perhaps a bit of a rebel going against the flow.

And did you know Dandelions have quite a few potential Health benefits?
Some of the health Benefits are

They are Highly Nutritious

Contain Potent Antioxidants

May Help Fight Inflammation

May Aid Blood Sugar Control

May Reduce Cholesterol

May Lower Blood Pressure

May Promote a Healthy Liver

May Aid Weight Loss

May Fight Cancer

May Support Healthy Digestion and Treat Constipation

May Boost Your Immune System

May Be a Useful Skincare Treatment

May Support Healthy Bones

Note _ sharing for information and not as a recommendation.

For many of these I have said may, from the article si have read most of those findings were based on Testtube and small animal trials and further tests are needed before it can be stated these effects are relevant for humans.
I do know some that add Dandelions to salads, I myself would not do it with the ones in these photos growing on the side of a busy road, but they were nice for a few photos.

And here is a shot of the Dandelion after the flower has finished and it changes to this ready for the wind or someone to pick one and blown to spread the seeds to float into the wind.

I think a field of dandelions is a beautiful sight. The number one way they contribute to the health of the earth is feeding bees. We need more dandelions and not less. Great share, JJ:)

Yes I agree I love when I see a field of them and yes I forgot to mention the bees, your so right that is another important role they play and we for sure do need more of them

Love the photos! I think it’s a pretty flower and don’t bother pulling up dandelions! The rabbits in my neighborhood love them also. My son likes to eat the flowers I think, but only from places where no weed killers have been used! We don’t put down weed or bug killer on our lawns anymore. It’s probably been 15 years since we stopped doing that! Have a great Sunday!

I to would let them grow, and would probably only eat ones grown in my Own Yard( and since I dont have one now that's not an option) if or when we have one when we move I will also not use any chemicals or week killers

My granny used to make dandelion tea; it was so bitter, but she drank it three times a day. I always thought that was why she was so mean, but apparently it helped her live a long, mean life instead. hahahhahha!

Just kidding. I loved my granny. She was a wise woman who, now, I appreciate her "mean" ways.

LOL I do remember somewhere in my travels they added Dandelion petals to the salad it looked good and was quite nice actually but it did seem a bit strange to me at the time

AND..... don't forget to make a wish before you blow the seeds into the air ! 🙂

I have read all these good things about dandelions too. It has caused me on more than one occasion to wonder if the answer to many of our human ills are growing right in our front yards.

Enjoyed your photos.

Ohh I never forget that it may look silly an almost 60 year old picking a dandelion and blowing the seeds into the wind, after of course making a wish, but I still do it, infact I did it with the one in this post ;)

And yes I think your right there are so many natural options that we do not know about

I still do it too !

My inner child doesn't care what I look like doing it now, it just insists that I do it.

😋

LOL me to :) the inner child in me takes over often :)

Life is more fun when you keep in close touch with your inner child.

Ohh yes without a doubt life is too short to waste too much time being too serious

Wow it’s turned into Dandelion Appreciation Sunday - I was just reading from @redheadpei about the benefits of them!

Beautiful photos of the flower, and the seeds - the seed head are a favourite for kids to pick and blow to release the parachutes around us - that’s why they end up so prolific! If the wind does not spread them the little ones will!

Yes I saw her post as well :) and it is not only little kids if no one is looking I will blow them into the wind as well :)

I couldn't agree more with the premise of your post. Photography really helps to expose the beauty that is everywhere.

I know you feel that you find such cool subjects :)

Thanks...and right back at you ;-)

I always think of a 'dandelion' = that white fluff ball which is actually after the flower is gone... And thank you for the information on the health benefits... I didn't know it was so beneficial!
