Beauty is truth's smile when she beholds her own face in a perfect mirror. ~ Tagore

True beauty comes from within, and we can have lots of fun slathering yummy alchemies all over our bodies to activate the radiant essence of self-love! To me, a beauty routine is an opportunity to give thanks to your body and enjoy its sensual nature.

I encourage the use of nature's bounties in your daily beauty routine. Using the fruits of the earth takes the worship at your body temple altar to another level of connection with life and love, and it feels and smells fantastic. It is also way easier to get a natural product out of your cupboard or garden to make yourself a beauty treatment than it is to work at a job you don't like to earn a paycheck you can blow at a store on products that are full of vile chemicals and toxins.

Honoring beauty is an act of self-love! This Natural Beauty series is meant as inspiration to shine your own essence and appreciate the loveliness that surrounds us. The natural recipes are meant as a treat for you to feel and look your best!

Here are some of my favorite natural recipes for hair conditioner:

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

One of my favorite conditioners to follow washing my hair with baking soda is apple cider vinegar. It's another pantry and beauty cabinet staple, with multiple purposes that make it a very economical value. It is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, helping to combat dandruff and other skin conditions. It restores a healthy pH to the scalp and removes smells without leaving your hair smelling like vinegar. It also supports the closing of the hair cuticle, leading to smooth and shiny hair. To use: add 2-4 tablespoons to 2 cups water and rinse all your hair with it. Leave on for a minute or two, and rinse with cool water.

2. Yogurt

Yogurt is super hydrating, and it supports healthy, shiny hair. It's yet another common ingredient in most households. To use: spread plain yogurt all over hair. Allow to sit for 30 minutes, and rinse out.

I like using simple ingredients for maximum benefit. These conditioner options are straightforward and super easy!
