Yesterday we touched on 4 priorities for great health, and today I would like to share suggestions for natural face washes to present your most luminous self.

Here are some of my favorite, easiest natural face washes:

1. Baking soda

Straight up - so simple and inexpensive! This is a natural exfoliate that helps to remove dead skin, can lighten blemishes, and prevents acne. To use: wet your face, and pour 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of baking soda in your hand. Drop a bit of water into it to make a paste, and smear across your face. Rub in small circles all across your skin. Buff with your fingertips for a minute or so, and rinse off. Can also be used to scrub lips to keep them nice and soft.

2. Honey

Honey is a natural antibacterial, so it's great for cleansing. It is also soothing and full of antioxidant properties to keep skin young and healthy. It smells great and is super luxurious! To use: wet your face, and spread about a teaspoon on with your finger tips. Rub in small circles across your face, and rinse clean with warm water.

3. Yogurt or Milk

Yogurt and milk have acidic characteristics that help dissolve and remove dead skin as well as lighten dark spots. It is hydrating and soothing, especially for sunburn. To use: dab yogurt on face, or gently splash milk on using your hands or a cotton ball to rub across the skin. Rub in for about a minute, and rinse with warm water.

4. Diatomaceous Earth

Diatmaceous earth is a fantastic substance that can be used for countless purposes in the body to enhance health, or around the home for wellness! It is rich in silica which promotes healthy skin; you can drink about a tablespoon of it a day stirred into water or juice to get the nutritional properties. As a cleanser, it works as a mild exfoliate or can be left on to dry like a mask. To use: wet face, and add a bit of water to 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of diatomaceous earth. Scrub on the face, and wash away.

5. Dr. Bronner's Lavender Pure Castile Liquid Soap

Some people don't feel cleantastic unless they get some foamy action from their facial cleanser. For this, I highly recommend the wonderful line of Dr. Bronner's products! They are very gentle, all natural, and can be used for at least 18 purposes on the body and around the home. The lavender variety is especially soothing and rejuvenating for the face, although tea tree can be beneficial for anyone who needs extra antimicrobial action to counteract acne. To use: wet face, and scrub in 1-3 drops (yes that's all you need). Rinse with warm water.

Wouldn't it be blissful if everyone you encountered kissed your lovely face with their eyes?? That is the allure and magnetism of true beauty. Of course the light comes from within, but there are plenty of yummy treats to support your most gorgeous skin using the gifts of nature.
