This is a Dark Flanders Style Sour Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels. This was the third beer they ever brewed at Speciation, and it has been sitting in fresh bourbon barrels ever since.

Progenote is quite acidic, but also has a very pleasant malty sweetness and bourbon/oak flavors to balance the acidity. With only 642 bottles produced this was definitely a rare treat.

            It’s not my first BBA sour. They are more common around me. I had a BBA sour stout a few weeks ago.
