Tipples Beer Review #78 – We do it for the Passion Fruit IPA - AUST

Because my lovely girlfriend Jordan makes friend with people at beer festivals I happened she somehow got her hands on six pack of special beer, hereinto only available at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) dinner. Because she’s really, really nice, she shared it with me

So that’s how we end up with We do it for the Passion Fruit by four breweries in Collaboration, they are the four winners of the Brewery of the year award at AIBA last year, 2017 , namely Stone and Wood (Large brewery), Balter (Medium brewery), Green Beacon (Small) and Pact (Gypsy)

Is a passionfruit IPA – passionfruit from actual passionfruits, as well as passionfruit tones from the hops it’s cloudy, light straw yellow colour. It is not really hoppy at all the way that an actual NEIPA should be, plenty of flavour, but no bitterness.

Rather this edges towards the sour, tart end of the spectrum, it’s such a good beer, which really shouldn’t be a surprise given these are the best brewers in Australia, or at least where in 2017 (actually Green Beacon one again in 2018), This brew is so drinkable and perfect for summer, it’s a bit of shame that you never get to drink it again, I have 3 cans left in the fridge, so I’ll be fine. Oh well, enjoy the picture, lament the fact i spilt some and imagine
