SSSappp is a 7% American IPA brewed by the Tree House Brewing Company in Monson, Massachusetts. I have tried a few different beers from Tree House and they are always top notch. Tree House is a small batch craft brewer specializing in fine New England style IPAs. They do produce stouts, porters and a variety of other styles of beers, but the juice bombs like their Julius, Green, and Haze are what made Tree House become the legend that it is today. Unfortunately you can't find Tree House beers at your local liquor store, you need to travel to the brewery itself and wait in a long line in order to score any of this liquid gold. But it sure is worth it! The SSSappp is a rendition of the Tree House beer called 'Sap'. This variation is designed to push the original flavor profile to a heightened level of depth and intensity through the use of additional kettle and dry hops.

The Can
SSSappp is served in a full pint can. The label is red and similar to the original Sap, but instead of white lettering, the SSSappp has gold letters. The branch of a pine tree hangs down from the top of the can which leads me to believe this beer will be loaded with pine flavors... like the sap of a tree.
The Beer
This is my first time trying any of the beers on the Sap line. I've never had the original 'Sap', but I jumped right into this SSSappp. It was cloudy as can be when I poured it into a glass and it had a nice head on top. The SSSappp tasted like grapefruit with a bit of pine. It was a complex flavor that enhanced as I worked my way down the glass. Overall a great IPA. I can't wait to try more beers from Tree House in the future.

Is the line still crazy long at the brewery?
I’ve never had the chance to visit Tree House, luckily I have some friends that take a trip every so often. From what I hear the lines are alwayyys huge
I went there last year. Longest lines I’ve ever seen, but they managed everything very efficiently.
