Beer Tasting: Festbier (Lidl)

Hello beer tasters!

I have in hand a can of beer stuffed for a special occasion, for Oktoberfest. Well, it was bought in Lidl, maybe sold as a Festbier to have Oktoberfest right at home? Who would know? I have to admit that I've never been to this event where huge amounts of beer are supposed to be poured, but that doesn't mean I won't go once :)

Festbier (Lidl)

Brewed by Privatbrauerei Eichbaum Mannheim for Lidl Europe. Lidl have various brands of beers brewed for them, about 240... This Festbier is Marzen lager, 0.5 l can, alcohol 5.5% ABV.

As you can see it's light brown with a lot of foam, so dark lager. Aroma of malt, caramel and hay. The taste is sweeter at the beginning and at the end of the sip it's bitter, which remains in the mouth for some time.

A solid beer for the festival I would say. It's not very special, but it's drinkable and I could easily drink some more cans.
