So far this weekend has been one where the ideas and bets are quite solid and I should be up a lot, yet many bets have been quite unfortunate not to say the least. I'm actually surprised I'm still up just shy of one unit. AA Gent played another poor match and scored at nearly 100% also getting a penalty that clearly should not have been given. I must say Kortrijk also did not reach their form of the last weeks though. Anyway, still 4 matches to go with my biggest bet on Zulte-Waregem +0.5 @ 1.922 (posted friday) which is currently trading at 1.80.

Standard vs Antwerp

Standard their exellent performance against Club Brugge by now has been around a month ago and they have not been able to confirm in any way. Today they have somewhat of a similar match at home against a good team. Antwerp has been playing more forward, but coach bolini said a while ago that he will put a lot of impornatance on defense first especially away against top teams. I had this match marked as a potential under bet and took a small bet on Standard vs Antwerp Under 2.5 @ 2.07 early when the odds were released and some 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.04 just now. Not that much need to go wrong to kill this bet though and it certainly is a bit scary. I do like the odds on the home team, in the end it's still Standard playing at home and Antwerp can right now not yet be seen similar to the traditional top teams in my view. I don't expect a wide open start of this match but I will be on the look out and won't hesitate to hedge out of my under position. I will be looking to take Standard if they manage to dominate and to the over in case standard has a late lead in the match.

Waasland vs Anderlecht

This one is really tricky, Anderlecht showed another horrible performance and the program of easy opponent matches they hoped to put a winning streak against is turning out in a real nightmare. In the club it also feels like they have given up believing in the overall player quality. On top Trebel who was one of the few bright points in this team pickecd up a longer term injury and will be out. The amount of points they took with or without them really is remarkable. Waasland are also a one of a kind team. They are near the bottom but have been a very porifitable team to back against the asian handicap. They haven't really put in that great of a performance in general but always manage to not get blown away. It's not easy to predict how this match will turn out. Anderlecht despite everything is a far higher quality team and I would be shocked if they were not extremely focussed and eager in this match. The 1.65 odds though are impossible to take. If they show good signs I will likely take some on the 1st half -0.25. Waasland has the habit to get behind and somehow always find a way to score and keep it close near the end often taking a point. Sint-Truiden vs Zulte-Waregem

I covered this match on friday already. I really like the reversal setup on Zulte-Warem. Similar to last where year they underperformed with a team that should have enough quality setting a really big losing streak. Once this was broken it gave them the needed confidence boost and they went on to beat the handicaps in the following matches since the long bad streak saw systematically increased odds on them. Sint-truiden has been somewhat mixed switching good performances with bad ones. I totally expect the new found confindence and feel good after the win against Standard a couple days to help Zulte-Waregem to put down a good performance. Zulte-Waregem +0.5 @ 1.922 is my biggest bet of the week.

Lokeren vs Eupen

Lokeren took a point away against Anderlecht and has a new coach. Eupen after a horrible start this season has been in a good streak. To say that they are the favorite in an away match against a team with a new coach is just the step too far for me though. I took a small pre-game bet on Lokeren +0 @ 1.99 as I don't see them as the underdog in this match despite everything. It will be one of those matches that will be interesting to see evolve live and I'm pretty open to everything based on it.
