Belgian Jupiler League Week 7 Friday Preview
The Belgian Jupiler League is back after an international break. These periods always allow for some pattern reversals. This will also be the weekend before the European Group Stages start off.
Club Brugge vs Lokeren
It is hard to fade Club Brugge at home. They are 3W-0L-0P so far this season against the asian handicap line at home (8W-4.5L-2.5P last season). Last season this matchup opened at -1.5 @ 1.81 and moved to -2 ending in a 3-1 home win. Everything is going great at Club Brugge similar to some years back when they dropped their focus losing a lot of points against weaker teams around the time the Champions League started. This will have been a good lesson though and I'm quite sure Leko with have their sharp and prepared for the match against Lokeren. The visitors had a very shaky start of the season showing lack of overall quality. They did get some experience in defense with deschacht and Mjangi Bia in offense (is not allowed to play yet). They improved a lot in their last match against Waasland-Beveren at home winning 0-1 and showing a more solid performance and I do expect they to keep improving a bit during the season. Away against the A-squad of Club Brugge is something different though and I do expect them to have a very difficult time likely starting the match building a wall. Betting wise it's though to bet the -2 Line (even though it is tempting ) since Club Brugge might slow down and control things saving energy with a busy schedule ahead. I do expect a strong start from the home side though. I am going into this match without any bets for now hoping Lokeren can somehow score the 0-1 out of the air to bet on the comeback or the corners market (Lokeren gave away a whopping 19 corners vs AA Gent). Lokeren keeping the 0-0 until HT would also be a potential setup to take some on Club Brugge along with a late goal in case the home team leads with 1 goal late in the match.
Late info might change my view on what is written in these previews. We do share the same idea about the -2 market. I will also stay away from it! They will decrease the pace of play when 2 goals ahead and Leko will rest some players.
I did found value in over 1.5 for the first half. Brugge did score more than twice in all home games this season! Besides that I do expect the Rezaei will al least get 5 scoring chances, so I do think that he will score.
