WHO IS AN APOSTLE?

The main characteristic of an Apostle was that he had gotten an immediate call by Christ. The term witness alludes to one who is sent or authorized with the expert of the one doing the sending. Jesus said to His Apostles, "Whoever gets you gets me, and whoever gets me gets him who sent me" (read Matt. 10:40).

A standout amongst the most vital Apostles in the New Testament, Paul, was not one of the first Twelve. Paul apparently did not know Jesus amid Jesus' natural service, and he was not an observer of the revival as whatever remains of them were.

Paul appeared to do not have the accreditations important to be an Apostle, which is the reason the New Testament describes, both through Paul's own declaration and through the declaration of Luke, the conditions of Paul's approach the street to Damascus. Also, his fellow Apostles called by Christ affirmed the genuineness of Paul's Apostleship.

The prophets and the Apostles together shape the establishment of the congregation (read Eph. 2:20). Through both the prophets of the Old Testament and the Apostles of the New Testament, we have been given a composed record of extraordinary disclosure.

It has come to us by the operators of Christ, His approved specialists of disclosure. Jesus left no original copy bearing His mark; He was the writer of no book. All that we think about Him is contained in the New Testament record that has come to us through crafted by His Apostles. They are His emissaries, who were given His power to talk for His benefit.

CONCLUSION:

An apostle is known for talking Christ and his church (the body of Christ ) not about this world and about men, apostles are not called by men’s ordination but strictly picked by Christ alone.

Sort:

In Matthew 10:40 Jesus is referring to himself and God. Not to apostles.

(Matthew 10:40 NIV) "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.

If you look elsewhere in the New Testament apostle are a certain class of disciple that doesn't appear to be clearly defined.

(Acts 14:14 NIV) But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting:

(Romans 16:7 NIV) Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.

(1 Corinthians 12:28 NIV) And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

(Galatians 1:19 NIV) I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother.

James was never part of Jesus' earthly ministry either.

Thanks for your contribution, I really appreciate.
