THIN LINE BETWEEN FALSE AND TRUE PROPHETS

FALSE PROPHETS, PRIESTS AND PASTORS ARE ANTI-SALVATION.

False prophets were known for educating what individuals needed to hear instead of genuine divine revelation. All through his service, Jeremiah was tormented by false prophets. At the point when Jeremiah endeavored to caution the general population of the approaching judgment of God, the false prophets restricted Jeremiah's prescience and did all that they could to smother his message.

There were approaches to recognize a genuine prophet and a false prophet. The Israelites were to apply three tests to figure out who was a genuine vehicle of awesome disclosure.

The main test was a celestial call, which is the reason the prophets were fanatical to demonstrate that they had been called straightforwardly by God and appointed for the assignment. In the Old Testament, we see a few of the prophets, including Amos, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, relate for their gathering of people the conditions by which they were particularly called and blessed to forecast.

The second trial of a genuine prophet in the Old Testament was the nearness of supernatural occurrences. Not every one of the prophets in the Old Testament performed supernatural occurrences, yet their service was verified at the beginning by an upheaval of wonders that started with Moses and proceeded in the times of Elijah, and alternate prophets followed in that line.

Recognizing a genuine supernatural occurrence from a false one was a basic issue, in light of the fact that there were impersonation marvels, for example, those performed by the mystical performers in the court of Pharaoh. Their purported supernatural occurrences were just beguiling traps.

The third trial of a genuine prophet was satisfaction; as such, did the things that the prophets reported happen? False prophets endeavored to anticipate what would happen, however when their forecasts neglected to work out, their messages were ended up being false.

In the New Testament, the partner to the prophet was the Apostle, in my next post I’ll talk more on the apostles.

The reason we’re looking at these things as it concerns apostles and prophets is because the gospel of salvation is built through their work starting from ages past. We must fight the good fight of faith resisting the false prophets who comes to us in sheep 🐑 skins but they’re hungry wolves 🐺 inside, telling people what they want to hear instead of delivering the truth of God’s word.

Thanks for reading.

It's not a thin line that separates them. They're worlds apart.

I agree with you, because you know, I was coming from the perspective of how the false prophets has mingled in into the church that it’s hard for babies to understand and fetch them out.

I really appreciate your understanding.

This is one of the most needful teachings in the church today. Much of what people pass off as prophecy is no more than fortune telling out of the heart of man or worse a spirit of divination that really can tell this false prophet some personal revelation.
Some that have a real gift, but use it to draw attention to themselves or for their own benefit.
A true prophet can be tested
By their fruit
Does their word contradict or agree with what is already written.
Does it glorify Christ Jesus?
What does the anointing that abides within you say?
Does the word produce bondage or liberty?
Does the prophecy come to pass?

Most false prophecies would stop if the word was judged by all as the scripture says.
1Co 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

I heard a prophet tell a very beautiful lady from Ghana that she was married to rhe wrong man. They already had one child and they were expecting at the time. The “Prophet” did not pick up on this. Some are giving out a “word” like candy. Like you said always saying what you want to hear.
In my experience when God uses someone else to give me a word, it is something He has already revealed to me, so the prophet is the second or third witness.
I have seen the real thing and believe in it and know it is a valuable ministry. But in my experience 5% of those who claim the prophetic really were genuine. This is also why we need the gifts. In this case, discerning of spirits.
Great and needful teaching. I look forward to your next submission.
Thank you!
