Sunday thoughts on Saturday: Don’t miss the glory.

Matthew 17

The glory of God is the nature of God manifested. Something you can see. Something you can touch. A physical realism that you can and should talk about. Defining God is like defining beauty. At first, you compare to other beautiful people places and stuff. Which is a start, but how do you define it?

Glory of God is the going public of his holiness. By????

Holy holy is the God almighty the earth is filled with his glory. The earth cannot be filled with an idea or concept, but it can be filled with truth. Unlike comparing people to people, people to animals, and every variation of that. We can not compare anyone or thing to God or his glory. His own category. the glory of God is rich, it’s filling, it’s worth of praise and worship.

Ezekiel 1:28

Seeing God glory and falling to your face as the only reaction. Jesus is the brightness of God glory. God is amazing and Jesus makes us glorify the father. His servants were faith represented. In all their experiences God never settles for less.

Distraction. Many of Jesus disciples missed the glory. Matthew, Mark, and Luke recount the experiences and of the events that people ran towards to witness. Why didn’t they run too? Are you distracted? Are you focused on family, on work, and on everything that is going on in this world that you’ve lost sight of where Christ is?

Refocus. Keep your gaze on heaven for there is enteral. Whereas where you currently stand will perish. Let’s read in Luke, where people express interest in following Jesus. However, first, they would like to run an errand first. Yet, in the last verse, Jesus challengers are to drop EVERYTHING and follow Jesus.

Is work keeping you from church?
Are friends keeping you from serving?
Do projects keep you from God?

Time to leave it all. Nothing is more important than God. What would you drop to follow Christ? Like the disciplines following Jesus, but seeing him. They might not be facing Jesus and therefore miss seeing his glory. Maybe it hasn’t always been this way. At one point you too were facing God then something or someone distracts you. Maybe a relationship that you haven’t fully cut off. Maybe a situation or event that reminds you or distracts you of a sin God has already forgiven you for.

Desperation. Stay depending on God for everything we want and he has for us. Staying in a state of needing Jesus. Of seeking Jesus through fasting and prayer. Don’t lose focus on the King of Kings. On God glory. Surround it all.

God bless.

So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring about as your own concerns. Just one day to your own evil.
Matthew 6:34

Strength, focus and faith take us where we want!

The author and finisher of our fate.

Do you believe our fate can’t be changed?

To put it bluntly,I believe it can. Both biblically and present day, we've seen those who have said no to circumstances and written their own stories. Take king Hezekiah for instance, and how God added 15 years to his presumed fate.
