LESSONS AND LIFE APPLICATIONS FROM THE BOUNCY CASTLE

in #bigwaves5 years ago

Good afternoon friends,I would want to share some lessons drawn from our bouncy castle experience while at the village during the Christmas break.

This bouncy castle was actually bought by one of my brother in-law's from US.

The day it was unveiled,it was discovered that the pump that would be used to inflate it wasn't in the carton,so he sent for vulcanizers around to come and pump it,the guy's came quite early in the morning, after so much effort to inflate the bouncy castle it couldn't rise.

The guy's said that it might have a leakage somewhere which was making their efforts fruitless,my hubby who was with them insisted that it wasn't possible for it to be leaking since it was bought from US and hasn't even been used for the first time till then.

The guy's kept pumping till after some hours they gave up and insisted that they would be paid for their efforts and for spending the whole day at home....after so much argument they were still paid the initial amount they argreed to despite the fact that the job wasn't done.

After they left, one other guy who was in charge of some of the constructions in the compound was invited and just within some minutes he started pumping it, the castle started rising ..... Wow,you can imagine the feeling right now.

At a point,he discovered a leakage somewhere and he said he was going to buy a kind of gum to seal that area.

After a while, one of my brother in law's came around, while observing what was going on he saw a "NOTICE" on the body of the castle and here come our lesson for the day.

  • Why the first guys couldn't inflate the bouncy castle was because they were using the wrong machine to pump it which could yield anything as it wasn't the one designed for it.

  • The notice stated that the leakage was actually supposed to be there because the system of operation was such that allows flow of air in and out of the system.

  • For that bouncy castle to be functional, the source which is generator powering it must be on for as long as it's to be in use. It wasn't supposed to be inflated and left to function on it's own.

LIFE APPLICATIONS

  • The year has just begun and it would only be wise to always make inquires for anything you want to do,don't just start anything without reading up to know how it operates....you can imagine if that leakage was sealed not knowing that it was actually designed to work that way.

If you are working with stuffs that have manuals, never fail to read them up and ask questions where you are confused....

Lessons to be continued,stay tuned!
