Dalle stelle alle corsie d'ospedale, l'astronomia può fornire nuove armi per combattere i tumori: si tratta di programmi informatici che possono riconoscere l'impronta di luce del cancro come quella di stelle e galassie, e persino ricreare un laboratorio virtuale dove testare nuove terapie. Lo dimostrano i primi esperimenti realizzati in Gran Bretagna all'Università di Exeter e presentati al convegno annuale della Royal Astronomical Society in corso all'Università di Lancaster.
