American White Ibis
Although they are relatively common in certain areas, the American White Ibis is harder for me to find than most Egrets and Herons in Florida.
I spotted this one, which I believe may be a juvenile, fishing in an intercoastal inlet.
She was relatively relaxed as I slowly made my way towards her on the muddy banks.
I got to a point where she thought it would be a good idea to fall back further. I stopped and watched her retreat.
I watched for a while and then started to inch towards her to get a better look. The shape and size of their bills is fascinating.
She retreated further so I respectfully withdrew to allow her to continue fishing in peace. Thank you kind Ibis!

Awesome shots. My favorite beak in the bird kingdom.
These little guys walk (and eat) in my yard every day! They are so cute, but quite skittish. Love these pics!
That's great, I wish I saw them more than I do here. I hope they don't cause you any problems in your yard. If you have any pics of your cute little trespassers, please feel free to post then here :) Thanks for the support!
This game is very fun. https://reurl.cc/9EGMj
