Are you ready for winter? Photo-report from animal-shelter
The first day of winter met us in deep snow. It seems that nature worked all night so that we did not forget - the cold is almost here. I went out into the yard and enjoyed our preparations.
A wood-fired boiler warms up special rooms for birds, dogs and cats are conveniently located in two rooms in the house, all the small houses in the yard are filled with warm, dry straw.
Any bird can go in there and warm its paws.
Storks today refused to go out. In general, this weather is not dangerous for them. But our birds are mostly single-winged, and therefore they have problems with thermoregulation.
Young dogs are delighted with the snow. The old ones, on the contrary, try to be more in the house, closer to a warm stove.
Owl Hope and her friends Kestrels are not too worried about the snow either. They have a warm house and can always hide in it.
For wild ducks and geese, we left islets of straw in the yard. It is necessary for their paws.
Does it seem to me, or is this duck too fat to fly? No big deal, fat duck is warmer in winter :)
Duck is not fat, he is fluffed ;)
Oh, yes! :)
Good preparations for the cold. I wouldn't mind being an animal in your care. :-)
beautiful owl, so important
