Meet all our animals and birds: New stork has come this night
Increasingly, we meet storks who stay wintering here. But the problem is that the population still knows little about how to help these birds survive the winter. The Internet may not always help. Most often storks appear in villages where people use the Internet a little and therefore have little information.
It happened with this stork. When the water in the lake froze, and all the mice hid, exhausted from hunger, he went out to the people. But he was disappointed. They did not know how to feed him and offered him ... grain.
When they found out that the stork was eating meat and fish ... they refused to take care of him. And they did not want to wait.
My husband had to go at night to pick up the bird. They arrived home at two in the morning! We put a stork in a warm workshop for the night, because there are no other free warm rooms now. At first he did not want to get up on his feet, he just lay on the straw.
By morning the stork calmed down, ate and began to feel better. We settled him in the aviary to the pigeons. Temporarily. So he sees other storks and they get used to each other. In a few days we will unite them.
Other storks live in the next room. It's warm there and they have a way out if they want to go for a walk.
