The redwing (Turdus iliacus)

One of the smallest thrushes. It is noteworthy that it is quite resistant to cold, but still is a migratory species. And it arrives from wintering early by the standards of other birds. But here in Siberia, it appears in mid-April, when the snow has not melted. Quite shy and cautious, and unlike the fieldfare thrushy he is more difficult to photograph. The departure for wintering ends late, I managed to meet him even in October, when it was already completely cold.

The fieldfare (Turdus pilaris)

In this video, you can see the very chicks of the fieldfare, whom I wrote about in past posts. When they are awake, they call their parents and demand food. And next to them is the same hole kingfisher. Pay attention to how close it is to them.
