The trouble with Kodak is they LED the film industry. Always innovating when bean counters would say that what they were doing would kill their profits...
up until digital cameras. Kodak was in the forefront of development... when the bean counters finally took over and shelved that project. And now, Kodak isn't even a shadow of its former self.
