Increase in the number of women interested in investing in cryptocurrencies, says study

in #bitcoin6 years ago

In recent years, female representation in the world of digital finance has not been entirely relevant, particularly when we speak of cryptocurrencies; However, a new study reveals that this trend is changing, due to a significant increase in the interest of women in decentralized trade.

The study carried out by the 'Block Exchange' in London shows that, over the last six months, the number of women interested in doing business and investing with digital currencies has doubled. The exact representation indicates that 1 in 8 women has shown a positive attitude about this financial sector, especially those born within the millennial generation.

It should be noted that the 'Block Exchange' in London is one of the largest bureaux de change in the country, which offers transaction options in several pairs of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Bitcoin Core ( BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC); It also provides digital portfolio services, which are in compliance with the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom.

According to the commercial analyst of the exchange, Agnes de Roeyer:

There is still a misconception that cryptocurrencies are a game for men, but we have seen hundreds of women signing up for our exchange in recent months and some of the most inspiring and knowledgeable investors, leading the way in the industry are women.

For its part, the study also establish a differentiation between the male and female population, as well as their behavior during a period of six months. In this sense, male density in the area of trade with cryptocurrencies has not shown changes, while women have not only shown greater interest in this time, but are more likely to seek recommendations from relatives, friends or acquaintances.

Other studies have also pointed to the role of women in commerce with cryptocurrencies. Just a month ago, the company Etoro published a report that shows an overwhelming percentage of male representation of 91.5%, against only 8.5% female representation in the market.

Although obviously the results obtained by the Exchange Exchange focus a positive point, there is still a long way to go until the balance of the market is in proportion and many companies have already begun to create a global change.
