Bitcoin core developer: BTC will affect the global climate is "fake news"

According to the #bitcoinist news on October 30, after some media reports on Bitcoin's impact on the global climate, bitcoin core developer Peter Todd joined the opposition to this "fake news".

This "fake news" was originally released by the magazine "Nature", which said that bitcoin mining can raise the temperature by more than 2 °C in 11 years, depending on the adoption rate of bitcoin.
“Bitcoin, a high-energy cryptocurrency, is increasingly used in investment and payment systems,” the introductory part of this paper writes:
- The future adoption rate of Bitcoin, if similar to the adoption rate of other widely adopted technologies, can generate enough carbon dioxide alone and increase the temperature by more than 2 °C in less than 30 years.
Although the term “environmentally unfriendly” about Bitcoin often appears in media reports, the paper “Nature” has sparked debates among some well-known Bitcoin.
According to Nic Carter, co-founder of CoinMetrics.io, the data in this paper is based not only on "naive hypothesis," but also that many of the mainstream media that report it cannot link the story to the paper itself.

"impact on the global climate" is the today version of... i dont know, all stupid statement of the past, from "experts"
It is the FUD of mainstream media.
They simple cant believe (due the tiny brain-capacity) the natural cycles in global temperature, so what are we talking about?
In this news I'm taking same thing nic fake news claim. I don't know how it possible?
