FREE CANDY AND BITCOIN FOR HALLOWEEN... -- HOLIDAY FUN!

What an idea! -- Of course everyone will have their own unique opinion.

I've heard quite a few people, give some cryptocurrency to family at Christmas time.... it seems to be the new perfect gift. After all, giving something to someone they normally wouldn't ask for, or buy themselves, can be fun.

....what about Halloween?

Immediately someone might think! Well! What do you expect a 5 year old to do with Bitcoin?

...Is there an age limit for Bitcoin? If so... what about those bright 10 and 12 year old kids that know how to enter cheat codes on their joysticks --- or who have youtube channels and streaming live on twitch?

Parents are still in charge of the supervision of their children on Halloween. If someone gave away free Bitcoin, or any other cryptocurrency along with some free candy.. how would that be seen?

Like most things, I think it would be frowned upon. Don't take the holiday away from our children by giving them free Bitcoin. Save that for adults... on a birthday, or for Christmas.. simply because children are too young to understand what bitcoin is, and why they need it.

HOWEVER

Other people might say "teaching our children about Bitcoin" is no different than teaching them about how to avoid drugs offered to them in the school yard, or predators, or anything that they need to survive and stay safe as they grow up.

At what age should our kids be explained what Bitcoin is?

  • It's really a controversial subject. Perhaps your first introduction to Bitcoin shouldn't come from a card at the bottom of your child's trick or treat bag.

....but those parents standing at the end of the driveway might be interested in some. :)

The thought entered my mind.. and I truly wonder, if anyone thought about this idea.

DO YOU LIKE or DISLIKE free Bitcoin given away during the holidays? Does it interfere? Is it best to just say "no!" ?

My take on it, is that it's probably not the right time or place.

Unless of course, you want to participate in an online trick or treating event... and anyone that knocks on your virtual door on the web can get some free cryptocurrency -- I know some of you don't mind airdrops of any type. :)

...now its true. Some adults have halloween parties of their own. Perhaps that's the best place to award $50 of Bitcoin with a public/private key and instructions how to redeem could work?

.

  • Best costume: Wins $50 Bitcoin

  • Bob-for-apples, the winner receives $25 Bitcoin

Note: This not a contest. There is no prize here. It's ideas for a Bitcoin contest for adults at Halloween.
