Cryptocurrency Could Become Alternative to US Dollar Reserve

The leading consultants in the sphere of finance consider that the bitcoin is capable to force out dollar from the place of global reserve currency.

The US dollar is world reserve currency of already 50 years. At the same time, according to Ken Jacobs, the CEO of Lazard consulting firm, such state of affairs can change in the near future, in view of advantages of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Jacobs last week has explained the position in a television interview of Bloomberg:

"Judging by unilateral foreign and trade policy of the USA, the country actively promotes that the rest of the world has begun to look for an alternative to dollar".

According to the analyst, other fiatny currency can hardly become an alternative, but the bitcoin is the main applicant for this role. Though there is a probability, as other cryptocurrencies can divide among themselves such responsibility.

"There is a set of impressive technologies in the sphere of cryptocurrencies which can promote such changes which are difficult for imagining to themselves now. However, if to liberate a little the mind, you will be able to make out alternatives to dollar already now" — Ken Jacobs concludes.

Jacobs is one of the most authoritative consultants in the world in the sphere of economic processes of integration of business and the capital, under control of his Lazard company there are more than $250 billion, as of the end of March, 2018.

The similar statement last week was made by the head of the Securities Commission of the USA Jay Clayton, having allowed probability that the bitcoin in the future can be used as replacement of dollar, yen and euro.
