Smartphones access to Bitcoin just got easier

One way to open up access to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to the masses is to place access to Bitcoin in the palm of your hands. What better way to do that than give direct access through a smartphone app. Huawei, a giant Chinese telecommunications firm has done just that.

They are partnering with BTC.comwhich is owned by Bitmain, to provide a digital wallet service which will appear in Huawei’s App Store, AppGallery.

Currently, AppGallery is only available for customers via a pre-install on the latest Huawei devices, but will be rolled out for older versions later this year.

"Cryptocurrencies have recently expanded the human understanding of digital economy at a large scale ... We expect to see massive growth in global cryptocurrency adoption habits in the near future," said Dr. Jaime Gonzalo, vice president of Huawei Mobile Services.

How will this impact mainstream access to Bitcoin and its price? Only time will tell.....
