SmartContainers is more than just Software

There's a whole bunch of projects using blockchain for supply chain software. I think blockchain can make a big impact on supply chain so this makes sense.

There's definitely going to be a race in development. Supply chain blockchain software also stand out since I've noticed these are often made by existing supply chain companies. I am going to talk about SmartContainers and how it is different from the competition.

Software isn't Everything

So if you look at most ICOs, they are based on an idea. SmartContainers has been a successful company for many years already. They have a businness in place and a good flow of customers. If this wasn't a supply chain ICO, this would already be a huge deal. Supply chain ICOs are usually by existing companies because I guess it takes a lot of experience and networking to succeed in this market.

A really good example is Tim Cook. He was a supply chain specialist and because experience in this field is so valuable, he wad able to make it all the way to the top of Apple. Right so when people want to invesy in a supply chain ICO, they realize that this id a very complex business and just having good software is not enough to win. This is why I believe supply chain ICOs are usually held by existing supply chain companies.

So how does SmartContainers stand out?

Supply chain companies using blockchain want to use technology to make platforms. Blockchain stores the data and makes the chain easy to trace and customers can easily verify products. All this is great and would be valuable improvements to supply chains. The problem I see is that this might be easy to imitate and more companies could do this. So SmartContainers isn't just software.

SmartContainers is different because it also has advanced hardware. SmartContainers gives the most advanced containers and the company says their containers are 75 times better at maintaining temeprature than the current market leader in containers. This means that SmartContainers is a supply chain company that wants to make bettet software for the industry and also better hardware for the industry.

Blockchain is seeing a lot of advancements so making software with blockchain is supposed to become easier. But competing with SmartContainers will need motr than just good software because the competition will have to make amazing hardware too. Getting new hardware ready can take years and lots of failed attempts and that makes the entry barrier high. SmartContainers has the best hardware in the industry and they wanted to make it even better by addinh advanced technology.

This is a show of good leadership. Don't get arrogant and always try to get better and better.
