Crypto News: Nasdaq Goes Bull on Bitcoin!

in #bitcoin6 years ago (edited)

According to recent news, Nasdaq chief executive Adena Friedman has become extremely bullish on Bitcoin. Friedman has gone so far to say that Bitcoin is the “next step in the space of currency”.

I do believe we are entering a bullish period and this news does seem to run parallel to my theories about what to expect from the cryptospace in coming months.

It has become apparent Bitcoin still has a public image problem. Despite a solid price change late last year, the first few months of 2018 have been far less successful. As such, there are a lot of people who claim Bitcoin will not succeed in the long run. Warren Buffett made that rather adamant by claiming how Bitcoin is worse than “rat poison”. A very strong sentiment which doesn’t sit well with the cryptocurrency community.

Bitcoin has had a rough year so far in the first quarter of 2018. Any market traded asset that has a parabolic increase comparable to what happened with Bitcoin last year is bound to face a pullback and anything that has such a sharp rise will most likely experience a sharp fall.

People just getting into the markets in December probably are still hurting badly if they decided to follow herd mentality and the old hodl strategy.

Bill Gates is seemingly convinced Buffett is right. If he had the chance, Gates would “bet against Bitcoin”. Even though Gates could easily short the BTC price, it seems he wants to do more “permanent damage” in this regard. Such opinions are not unique, as cryptocurrency has suffered from such negative comments for some time now. Nasdaq chief executive Adena Friedman has a completely different outlook on cryptocurrency.

In my opinion Bill Gates understands Bitcoin and its fundamental nature better than most. He definitely has a better grasp as a technologist when compared to regulators and bankers who are just now trying to get their head wrapped around what they are dealing with here.

Lets be honest, decentralization isn't going to give these people more power, in fact it is certainly going to do the opposite. The rabbit is out of the hat, people understand they don't need third parties to transfer value. This is bad news for the powers that be.

What do you guys think about Bitcoin's prospects in 2018? Are we going to see a stellar performance in the next few quarters? Let me know what you think!

volatility inc. - release the FUD , this year in crypto will be remembered as the year when opinions of ,,for cypto unimportant people”(buffet, gates) started to matter....

Nice post,Just like MIke Novagrats says the HERD is coming, this 2018 is going to be EPIC.

Whatever updates we are watching in the Crypto space, that in my opinion will bring great future for the Crypto space because it's now just not about one particular field, Crypto is entered in many fields and all over the world, people can stop an habit but in my opinion people cannot stop an adoption. Thanks for sharing this post with us and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂
