The decentralization of the blockchain is a key factor for the progress it has achieved since its inception until now. Many opportunists are using this to commit crimes that up to now have not been hated from the legal perspective since it is very difficult to find a "guilty party". This is due to the difficulty of making traces in the transfer of funds.
The developed nations are investing a lot of resources in restructuring their laws and the entire legal framework to initially apply tax collection. But there is also the illicit business aspect. For example, in Israel, a market for the sale of marijuana is being developed on the internet, where payments with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are accepted.
I believe that the challenge is for lawyers in the sense of achieving the applicability of the laws around this issue.
