First bitcoins

I am looking back at my inbox and can’t believe that I made my first purchase of bitcoins via Coinbase on February 23, 2014. It seems so long ago, but it was actually less than five years ago. When I first got into it, I was trying to figure out whether it was better to just mine bitcoins and sell the profits. My thinking at the time was “let me make some profit while the suckers get screwed!” The first equipment was purchased from Butterfly Labs and I waited forever for it to arrive. I earned some money and were profitable but it was just too much work monitoring everything. However, it taught me the fundamentals of how bitcoins works.
